Data Interpretation

Aquanex provides extensive data about a swimmer's technique - positive elements, as well as factors that limit performance. The shape of a swimmer's force curve show the effective and ineffective hand motions. Force data is essential for analyzing swimmers, because video alone will not show how changes in hand motion causes variations in force.

Does your force curve look like this?

This curve shows a fast and steady increase in force, characteristic of effectively using strength throughout the entire stroke cycle.

This curve shows a major force loss in the middle of the stroke, characteristic of a sudden change in hand path, pitch, or speed.

 

The shape of your force curve reveals a great deal of information about the effectiveness of your technique. Many examples of positive technique elements, as well as limiting factors are listed in the articles under the "Information" menu bar selection.
